Back
in the Bible's Time
Actors
come out front dressed in typical Biblical costumes, and they share a part of
life from 2,000 years ago. The idea
behind this segment is to draw the children into and understanding of the
customs and behaviors which were typical of Bible times, and to show that things
were different 2,000 years ago than they are today. Though technology, sociology, and customs have changed; they are still
sinners in need of salvation!
Bible
Book of the Week
Each
week a new book of the Bible is taught to the children. The reason, of course,
is to have the children memorize the books of the Bible from Genesis to
Revelation. By adding a new book each week, the children will be able to know the
entire Old Testament within one year and know the entire
books of the Old and New Testament within two years.
Family
Time
This
segment instructs the children to become involved with their parents in
wholesome family time. It is a fact
that children would prefer "Special" time with their parents over any
other activity, including television! The
children need to know how to ask their parents for special family moments that
will shape them into more solidified family units.
Famous
Bible Characters
Famous
Bible characters visit Jericho Junction in Biblical costumes.
The apostles Paul and Peter, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, King David, and all
the others! These characters share
a little bit about their significance in
the Scriptures.
Jericho
Junction Cooking Show
This
segment is similar to the game show, because it is a funny satire of today's
cooking shows by using Biblical words, phrases, and illustrations to make
delicious recipes!
Jericho
Junction Game show
The
kids really LOVE this segment! This
section is a lot of fun for both the children and the actors/actresses.
We blend Biblical illustrations into funny satires of today's popular
game shows. The results are
Biblical truths presented in a game show format.
Power
Word
The
"Power Word" segment strives to build a child's vocabulary of often
spoken "Christian" words, i.e., "Son of God," "Born
Again," "Grace," "Sanctification,"
"Righteous," "Scripture," "Omniscience,"
"Omnipotence," "Justified," "Propitiation," etc.
Through the skits, the children will be able to identify and understand
"Key" words which are necessary for spiritual growth.
What
Would You Do?
This
segment presents real life situations where the children could find themselves
one day. They
determine what they would do if they were in that particular situation. FOCUS:
To help the children make good, moral, and godly decisions when
they are faced with tough decisions in life.
